With Actor, Editor, and Writer Preeti Torul for ‘Demons’

Preeti Torul is an actor, screenwriter, and filmmaker, who started at The Second City, Toronto. Preeti’s on-screen performance credits include; ‘Bria Mack Gets A Life’ (Crave) and 2024 winner for Best Comedy at the Canadian Screen Awards. She has written and consulted on several comedy development projects as a screenwriter.

Currently, Preeti is working on both sides of the camera or walking her dog.

18 to 35 is a 6 x 10-minute comedy series is created by Rahul Chaturvedi and Charlie Whalley. It follows a mid-30s Indian-Canadian woman who, after losing her job in New York City, returns home to London, Ont. to manage her father’s youth hostel.

Rahul Chaturvedi is a Canadian writer-director working across scripted, unscripted, and kids’ television. A graduate of the Canadian Film Centre, his writing and story editing credits include Late Bloomer (Crave), Run the Burbs (CBC), Don’t Even (Crave), Potluck Ladies (Yes TV), and the preschool series Skillsville (PBS Kids).

Bayaan is an upcoming Hindi police procedural, drama film written and directed by Bikas Ranjan Mishra. Starring Huma Qureshi, the film centers on Roohi, a female detective investigating her first case of a prominent cult leader, facing anonymous accusations of sexual abuse, confronts institutional power and reluctant witnesses.

The film was selected in the Discovery section of the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival and will have its World premiere on 7 September 2025.

‘Gandhi’ depicts the formative years and legal career of civil rights icon and champion of Indian independence, Mohandas “Mahatma” Gandhi. The series will have its world premiere in the ‘Primetime Programme’ of the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival on 17 September 2025.
Meet the highly prominent team of Gandhi and learn what went on in the making of this show which follows Gandhi’s early life, starting in colonial India
